• This kit is a micro: bit version of SparkFun's Weather Meters. micro: bit is an ultra-small microcomputer board developed by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) for the education of elementary school students.
• Weather Meters is a weather observation kit with wind gage, wind direction gage and rain gauge. A wind meter measures wind power by counting pulses of a reed switch that turns on when it rotates. The rain gauge counts this pulse beca*** the reed switch turns on every fixed amount. The wind direction meter detects the wind direction from the resistance value of the potentiometer.
• The Weather: bit is an expansion board that can be connected to the micro: bit to measure barometric pressure, temperature, relative humidity, etc.
• OpenLog is a logger board that starts logging data by serial communication when the power is turned on.
