• RS Pro IEC Standard Type K thermocouple temperature sensor is designed for fast and reliable surface temperature measurement. This thermocouple sensor has a rugged design and is equipped with a 2 m long highly durable steel braided PFA Teflon insulating lead. One *** of the lead is terminated by a miniature plug or other component and secured to the ferrous metal surface by a 1-inch-diameter strong magnet housing. The thermocouple contacts are grounded to reduce the response time.
• How Thermocouples Work • Thermocouples are sensors ***d for temperature measurement in a wide variety of processes. Two wire legs made of different metals are brought into contact at two points to form two contacts. Thermal contacts (temperature measurement contacts) are connected to the body to be measured. Cold contacts (reference contacts) are connected to bodies of known temperature. When a temperature measuring contact is placed on a heat source, a voltage difference or potential difference occurs between the contact and the reference contact. This voltage is converted to a temperature measurement using the thermocouple reference table. This process is also known as the Seebeck effect.
