The contacts provide uniform latching of the contacts and connect the housing with the connector cover. The housings of these AMP -Latch 609 series IDC sockets are made from UL 94V-0 thermoplastic and feature military and centre polarization. Versions of these AMP -Latch 609 series IDC ribbon cable connectors are available with a strain relief for extra support and strength. These strain reliefs can also be ordered separately.
