- Tesa 51408 Flame Retardant Polyimide Masking Tape. Tesa 51408 series is a premium, hard wearing high temperature resistant masking tape. The Kapton tape is sturdily-fastened with a silicone adhesive. Features ; Benefits. Kapton® backing with silicone adhesive. Temperature rating -260°C for 1000 or, 350°C for 10 hours. Ideal for masking applications with permanent high temperature and unusually high peak temperatures. Total thickness 60μm. Adhesion to steel 6N/25mm. Classified as a flame retardant material. Kapton® is a registered trademark of Dupont. Strong chemical resistance. Product Application Information. Kapton tape 51408 can withstand high temperatures for limited periods of time.
