From RS PRO a standard size panel mounting thermocouple socket connector colour-coded in accordance with IEC specification. The connector housing features a moulded fascia for a flush fit when mounting through the panel. The connector is made from a rugged thermoplastic and is colour-coded for easy thermocouple identification. The contacts are designed to accept polarized round pins to ensure an accurate connection. A clip is supplied with this female connector enabling it to be secured quickly and easily to the rear of the panel. What is a Thermocouple Connector?. These standard thermocouple connectors are an accurate and convenient way of interconnecting your temperature sensing components. Using thermocouple connectors allows a chain to be formed from the measuring tip of your temperature sensor to the host computer or meter. It is important that all the components in the chain are made from the same thermocouple material to prevent any alteration or distortion of the original signal. To achieve this, thermocouple connectors have contacts made from the same material as the thermocouple they are being ***d to connect or a compensating material. The connector housing has the thermocouple type clearly printed on it and is also colour-coded for easy identification.
