- Strain Relief Hoods. Plastic strain relief hoods for fitting to RJ45 data plugs (type 8//8). Hoods accept standard 4 pair UTP and STP cable and snap onto the rear of the plug preventing excess strain on the cable clamp. The hood ext***s over the plug latch allowing latch operation but also keeping the latch from snagging on other cables.
