Vibrating level sensors work on the principle of a tuning fork to deliver accurate and reliable level measurement unaffected by turbulence, foam, vibration, solids content, coating products, and liquid properties. The switches forks are oscillated at their natural frequency using a piezo- electric crystal. When forks come into contact with a fluid the oscillating frequency change that occurs is detected by the 2160 level switch and causes a change in output state. The 2160 vibrating level sensor is simple to install and requires no calibration or maintenance.
