• For smooth surfaces, scrub the surface with sandpaper before applying.
• Cracks, holes, lumps and moss should be repaired with cement or caulking material beforehand.
• If the concrete or mortar surface deteriorates significantly, and if it gets powdered or crumbly when touched with your hands, remove it thoroughly and apply Asahi Pen oil-based sealer.
• When applying to new concrete or mortar surfaces, be sure to apply Asahi Pen oil-based sealer or strong permeable water-based sealer more than one month after construction. When applying to asphalt surface, do not apply sealer.
