  • The FunctionMAX FX20 0.5 mm SMT Board-to-Board connector has a unique floating construction that allows for installation misalignment in equipment with multiple stacking connectors. The FX20 Series header connector has a floating structure built inside the housing fixed base. This floating structure allows at least +0.6 mm of play in the XY direction between mating contacts. The floating contact is centered in the X and Y directions and absorbs misalignment for safe and accurate engagement. The floating feature of the FX20 PCB to PCB connector removes the stress of misalignment and prevents solder cracking, eliminating the need for rework. Large engagement guides on both sides of the header also allow ±1.2 mm play in the XY direction. These guides simplify engagement, prevent accidental insertion, and ensure a secure connection. The FunctionMAX FX20 Board-to-Board connector can withstand harsh industrial and automotive applications. The FX20 receptacle connector features self-cleaning dual-beam contacts for high vibration resistance and high contact reliability. These dual beam contacts are made of highly conductive material and have a current capacity of 0.5 A per pin. Contact and housing clearance prevents capillary development and protects the contact area from solder penetration and flux penetration during assembly.
