Features
- Thread conforming to DIN965 standard
- This product requires the *** of a Phillips screwdriver. To identify countersunk head screws, refer to the data sheet and the product summary download sheet. These two types of documents allow you to find screws of different sizes and lengths. If what you are looking for is not gloss galvanized steel, we also have cross hole countersunk head screws made of stainless steel or nickel plated brass. Refer to the Fastener Selection Guide for information on these products.
- RS PRO BZP Plated Steel Pozidriv Countersunk Head Screw
- The RS PRO high-quality machine screw flat countersunk head is suitable for embedded mounting, and the versatile Pozidriv screw provides excellent grip when tightening. These are meter-sized machine screws made of high-quality BZP (Glossy Galvanized) steel to reduce rust and corrosion progression.
- What is a machine screw? • A machine screw has a shape similar to a bolt, but it can be turned with a screwdriver beca*** the head has a groove hole. The shank of the machine screw is straight rather than tapered and has a uniform thread along its entire length. Wood screws are designed to be screwed into the material to secure it, while mechanical screws are designed to be secured through pre-installed screw holes in the material to be joined. The screw holes make the connection stronger, resulting in a higher quality product.
- Countersunk head screws are also known as CSK screws. The head of the countersunk head screws is formed in a flat shape so that when the material is attached to the countersunk hole, it is in the same position or one step lower than the surrounding surface. This type of screw head is ideal if you need to cover the head with a screw cap or if you want to form a flat surface for placing or securing other objects.
- Pozidriv Head Type
- Pozidriv is sometimes abbreviated to Pozi, which stands for "positive drive." The center of this type of head has a cross-shaped indentation hole with four streaks around it to form eight contact points. This design improves contact with the driver and reduces ejection forces when tightening or loosening machine screws.
- Glossy galvanizing (BZP)
- BZP applies a glossy coating to steel to prevent corrosion and rust. For applications in harsh environments, BZP provides the necessary longevity and reliability. The effect may be inferior to stainless steel, but the advantage is the price. Stainless steel doesn't rust at all, but beca*** it's expensive, BZP steel is a great solution and offers great cost benefits.
- Features and Benefits: Pozidriv head type for improved screwdriver grip Countersunk head for a flush finish Bright Zinc Plated steel for resistance to corrosion Meets DIN 965 Standards • Mechanical screws are designed to hold together components ***d in a variety of fields, including industrial machinery and vehicle engines. Fixing with these is usually done by inserting a screw into a pre-drilled hole with two components and tightening the nut on the back side. This steel gloss galvanizing machine screw is ideal for home and business ***. Application: • Prototyping of electrical panels • Prototyping substrates • Substrate installation • Manufacturing technology • General maintenance and repair • Light load fixing applications • Frequently asked questions • M2.5, M3, M3.5, M4, M5 • These values are for metric screws, where M means metric. The number following M represents the nominal outer diameter of the screw in mm.
- How to Cut Machine Screws
- Machine screws with damaged threads may not join properly and should be carefully cut using appropriate tools.
- Cutting small machine screws (up to standard size #10 or metric size M5 (5 mm)) Use multi-purpose wire strippers or electrical pliers with M2.5, M3, M3.5, M4, M5 threaded holes. These holes are designed to cut bolts without damaging threads. Open the jaw and thread the screw through the hole of the appropriate size to adjust it to the required length. When the tool handle is closed, the screw is cut where both jaws engage. The cut surface is clear and does not damage the thread. Cutting large machine screws (standard size #10 or metric size M5 (5 mm) or larger) This is best done with a bow saw. Attach the nut to the screw and move it into position to serve as the head cutting line. Secure the screw to the vice or clamp and cut as straight as possible. If any part of the thread is damaged by the saw blade, it will be repaired by removing the nut from the screw.
